  • Economy

    Value

    4 out of 5 4.0

Bought car when it was two years old with 18.8k miles on the clock (it had suffered a 40% drop in price against original list, making it a bargain).

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

You'll get between 250 to 300 miles on about 30 litres of fuel (1/2 tank of fuel). Servicing reasonable. Tyres seems to last a long time (I'm running Michellin 195/65 89H XH1s).

    Driving

    5 out of 5 5.0

Good driving position. Excellent gearbox/clutch. Steering responsive, but not aggressive.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Ample acceleration to cope with bendy B-roads and good cornering ability, but not a supercar.

    Reliability

    4 out of 5 4.0

Touch wood, this car has not let me down yet.

    Image

    4 out of 5 4.0

Looks stunning, especially after a good coat of autoglym, some would say better than the newer Mk VII version. Basically the car is slower than it looks, so to an untrained observer, looks the part.

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

Seats slightly hard, but it's not what you buy a sport coupe for is it? Suspension can be a bit hard over road humps / pot holes, even at low speed.
