What does this car say about you?

I believe it says that I am a person who is successful, maybe a little flash and likes fast cars.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My wife hates driving it because it's too powerful for her. She prefers the hatchbacks of the world.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No, because I like to have something different, but that's just me. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this car to anyone though because it's a great, reliable sports car for someone on a budget. Look around, you'll not find anything giving you 192bhp for less than £15,000 when it's a year old.

What are you likely to buy next?

    Mazda RX-8

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchise

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £13,500

When did you buy the car?

    July 2005

Did you get a good deal and why?

I got a fantastic deal as it was listed at over £15,000. However I was fortunate to know the guy from the dealer who gave me a very good deal and even shipped the car up from Leeds to Newcastle for me.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I bought the car because it is a fantastic looking car with plenty of power, all for less than £15k.

    What was the dealer like?

It was a Renault dealer believe it or not! Again, I knew the lad that worked there and he told me they had a Toyota dealership in Leeds.

    What's it like to drive?

It's like a go-cart but big enough to feel safe in. Has a lot of power, especially in the lower gears. It has a turbo that kicks in around 7,000rpm which is a bit on the high side as you can only really use it on open motorways. Great fun when it does though. It is a very fun car to drive in cities and especially on the open roads.

    What's it like to park?

Difficult at first due to the lack of rear visibility, but you get used to it. It has a beeping alert when you put it into reverse, but it isn't a rear parking sensor, it's just there to let you know you're in reverse. A bit pointless if you ask me.

Have you had any problems with the car?

I feel as though I have to replace 2 of the tyres every year, and being Pirrelli's they're not cheap. Had no bother at all with it other than that though (touch wood!)

What's most practical about your car?

Certainly not the fuel consumption as I do around 15,000 mile per year, but it's certainly not the worst.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Digital climate control with a/c. I also like the button that turns the traction control off so you can really drive round those country roads.
