What does this car say about you?
I mean business. I know quality. I need a car that I can depend on and is a very forgiving workhorse, but also very civilised and sophisticated.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Family likes it. its god a lot of character as its an old car but its not often you come across a characterful car combined with reliability and practicality.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, its just great. As long as the new ones are as good as the old ones I would buy again for sure!
What are you likely to buy next?
This car has made me really like Toyotas. I just wish the new ones looked better and not so plain and aimed at old people, with very average performance.

Yes, good service history. previously owned by a mechanic knowhow.

As a towing vehicle for pulling horse box.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very torquey at low revs, pulls very hard. for a 4x4 capable of going off-road its very nice to drive. firm on the road, but harder in the back. Mpg is not bad at all considering its age. can get 30mpg at a push. silky engine feel.
What's it like to park?
Brilliant turning circle! very manoeuvrable,.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
We bought it knowing the clutch was slipping, it was replaced. New battery. New alternator, this was with 200k on clock. recently had two new tyres, welding, exhaust, bushes etc. Generally not bad considering weve had it 6 years now.
What's most practical about your car?
It can do *everying, for a 4x4. Great towing, comfy long journeys, extremely reliable, can go offroad, a fair bit of space inside too esp compared to modern 4x4. 7 seats, 5 folding seats. very well built, components built to last.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Low range gear box for trailer work. use folding rear seats a lot. and also use all 7 seats a fair bit.
