    Value

    3 out of 5 3.0

Not the cheapest, even second hand, and didn't achieve the trade-in price I'd hoped. Still, more smiles per pound than any other car I've owned.

    Costs

    5 out of 5 5.0

Great service, cheap and very cheerful - I can't fault it.

    Driving

    5 out of 5 5.0

Great rear wheel drive, can be scary when first driven but you soon learn to love it!

    Performance

    5 out of 5 5.0

Great free revving engine, quick off the mark and unbelievable when overtaking on country lanes. Never driven a car like it - a real sportscar.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    3 out of 5 3.0

Had a repeating problem with water level dropping. Dealer unable to find fault and it eventually corrected itself.

Ignore anyone that tells you it's only a women's car. Get behind the wheel and give it a go, you'll soon realise it is a powerful, quick, rear-wheel drive sports car. Looks great in blue, and really comes into it's own with the roof down.

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

Good supportive sports seats. Cabin is 'cosy', but my wife and I managed to pack for a weeks holiday. You just need to be imaginative and pack in every space. Good in-built wind deflector, and roof is a doddle to put down even from the drivers seat.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

Not tested, thankfully. Seems to be on a par with other rag tops, but you are more careful where you leave it than a normal car!

    Service

    3 out of 5 3.0

Great on service and purchase, not so good at fault finding!

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

    Engine

Problem with loss of water from coolant tank, resolved itself after a couple of visits to service.
