I bought my GLS as a used car with very low miles, but it was still quite expensive compared to similar-sized cars.
Costs
Servicing not the cheapest, but fairly economical at 39mpg. Insurance is cheap.

Driving
The steering is very vague and it could not be called a driver's car. If you want something light and very easy to drive it's perfect. I didn't so sell it quickly!
Performance
The 1.3 engine is very sweet and revs well, but not as well as some other Toyotas. Very nippy round town.
