Toyota Yaris (1999 - 2005) 1.3 16v VVT-i SR 3d Owner Review

I thought I will buy it for 6 months and I still have it after 10 years. Over this time the average cost to maintain was around £50 yearly (excluding mot and tyres). And I drive it hard (front tyres I usually replace at 8-9000 miles) and the engine did not skipped a beat. No oil consumption. Aircon without any maintenance or refills ever and blows cold air in 15 seconds, down to 6 Celsius. Replaced the shock absorbers once and the drop links 4 times (my driving). Replaced the tail light bulbs with new ones as they looked “smoked” and 3 months later put the original japanese back as the new ones started failing. Replaced the battery once as the original one (Japanese markings, 13 years old) started to get a bit “sluggish” in winter
