Volkswagen Corrado (1989 - 1996) 2.9 VR6 3d Owner Review

Had a VR6 when they were new. Kept it for seven years and regretted parting with it.
Despite owning a wide variety of cars thereafter, I always promised myself that one day I’d own another.
Spotted this in a forthcoming Mathewson’s ( Bangers and Cash) auction and travelled up to Pickering to view it ‘in the metal.’ Was agreeable surprised by the condition and subsequently purchased it on auction day.
For a ‘95 car it is in excellent condition- even the sunroof, heater fan and active spoiler still work! The galvanised body is virtually rust free!
Will probably replace the original clutch ,timing chain and guides. Some parts are getting rare but so far I’ve found anything I wanted after a little searching.
It still drives well and I don’t regret ‘scratching the itch’ after all these years.
Values are rising fast, so don’t wait if you can find a good example.
