VW reputation, cheap price.
What was the dealer like?
Very helpful, family have since bought their VW cars from same dealership. My car has full VW service history with the same dealership (VW Sutton Coldfield).

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Needs some revs on hills, pokey on the flat from a standstill. Again, does the job reliably! Very quick if you put your foot down, however not the best round corners at faster speeds... Bit top heavy. Will plod along on motorway at 60/65 happily - works harder at 70+ at around 3k RPM.
What's it like to park?
Easy peasy!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Needed a new boot lock this year after 8 years of use. no central locking fitted so barrel had eroded with time/use. Coil pack replaced this also this year - also after 8 years of use.
What's most practical about your car?
Cheap to run as a whole, does the job - incredibly reliable! Starts in any weather and after being stood for long periods of time, with no quibbles!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
CD player.
