Volkswagen Golf GTI (2013 - 2017) 2.0 TSI GTI (Performance Pack) 5d Owner Review

I have mixed feeling about my Golf. On one hand it looks good, handles most types of driving well and isn't too bad on fuel. On the other hand it has a few flaws. It was very expensive, IMO these are overpriced, secondly whilst quite fast it isn't exactly mind blowing and can feel a bit soft and uninvolving when driven in a spirited fashion. It also seems prone to minor niggles with sonme of the tech kit fitted. I have had glitches with the active cruise control, electric handbrake and the safety braking assist (activates for no reason causing a sudden stop). I am also not keen on the synthetic "Soundaktor" engine sound, and tend to turn it off. The problem with that is the engine on it's own sounds rather bland.
I would conditionally recommend, but i will be heading back to a 6 cylinder, RWD BMW next time.
