I like practicality and reliability without having to compromise style.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My grand-daughter loves it as it is red, her favourite colour. My partner has his own car but much prefers to drive mine.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Certainly. It is perfect for my needs.

I don't know. I hope to keep my Golf for a few years yet.

Did you get a good deal and why?

I think I paid the standard price for its age and condition. The car is in very good condition inside and out but the reason why it was cheaper was because of the high mileage on the clock. I know the engines go for ever, the cambelt was done and everything worked beautifully, so the mileage didn't worry me.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

My brother has owned Golfs for quite some time and he has always had trouble-free motoring. When I had to replace my car I decided on a Golf after testing other makes.

What was the dealer like?

Fine. He did what he said he was going to do before selling it to me, such as fixing whatever was needed for MOT, some small dents and scratches, etc.

What's it like to drive?

It drives very smoothly, and the bigger engine gives it good, fast acceleration when needed. It is quiet, which makes driving long distances much less tiring. The gears are very well distributed, making it a fun car to drive on bendy roads.

What's it like to park?

The car is easy to park.

Have you had any problems with the car?

It has just gone through MOT with only a gaiter to replace. Nothing has gone wrong with it since I bought it. It is an extremely reliable car.

What's most practical about your car?

It is very roomy for a small car and the back seats fold down quickly and easily. For me that's very important, as I am learning upholstery and I load up the car with my projects regularly. It is economical to run and to tax.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

I love the ergonomics of it, with the control panels slightly wrapping themselves towards the driver and a perfectly positioned rest for the left foot.
