Economy
Value
I regularly get 42+ to the gallon on a long run at an average of 70+
Costs
For a 1.8 petrol it is very economical except for round tonw when it can be a tad thirsty

On the road
Driving
Drives very well even with 127000 miles. Very comfortable on long journeys. Changed the shocks to gas so now feels much better round corners.
Performance
Better than it was I changed the exhaust for a performance one and put better spark plugs in and a performance air filter and what a differance it makes. Put some stronger brakes on so it stops better than it used to and changed the shocks to gas.

The only problems I have had are general wear and tear as you would expect on a 14 year old car.

Never used VAG Service. Parts are cheap if you know where to shop.

Engine
None, except a small leak from the rocker cover gasket but it is 14 years old.
Other
Leakey passenger side rear door seal, nothing that can't be fixed when I get round to it.
