    Value

I got mine for £1400 with 105k miles on the clock. Apart from a few scratches and niggly bits (cracked headlight), it's solid and feels like something at least 5 years younger.

Ok on insurance. Outrageous economy!! Did 240 miles motorway (including jams) and 110 urban milegae. It cost me £16.72 - that's 72mpg!! I reckon if I was careful, I could get 75mpg easily!

  • On the road

    Driving

    3 out of 5 3.0

Light footed. Clutch is rather heavy (with too much give). Breaks don't seem to bite as well as I think they should (they are brand new). However, drives light and smooth.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

I would say that it is as fast as a 1.2 Micra. Thats good for a diesel.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    4 out of 5 4.0

Only had it a few weeks. The radiator may possibly have a leak.

    Very good.

    Comfort

    5 out of 5 5.0

Massive interior. That's why I purchased it after test driving one. I'm 6' 1" and there is enough room behind me for someone equally tall to sit without their knees touching the driver's seat.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

Immobiliser. Getting a spare immobiliser key fob seems a bit of a problem, though.

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

    Engine

    Possible radiator leak.

    Other

Very good value for the price. The VW diesels are the most economical around.
