no. had lots of problems with it for the price. usually VW tend to hold there value well and tend to make solid cars.

needed a reliable car quickly

What's it like to drive?
an lot of body roll, understeers a lot. cant get more than about 2200 rpm to move it in 1st gear. picks up well from 2nd, 3rd and 4th in low rev range. 5th brilliant for motorways as it can easilly sit at 80-90mph. generally good ride.

easy as has a flat back

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
both rear wheel bearings, front near side now needs replacing, both front lower arms due to rust, sump as it had rusted a small hole in it and was dripping oil, rear brake cylinders, electric windows keep poping out of the runners, few rust spots but what is expected on a 12 yr old car.
What's most practical about your car?
can fit 5 resonably confortably in it.

electric windows when they work.
