Economy
Value
£6995 for standard model, extra for a 6 disc changer. We got £500 off as we got it in a certain offer. However, for a near £7000 car, you get very little luxuries inside. No electric windows, no CD player, just cassette, no sunroof and so on.
Costs
Not bad, I don't know the miles per gallon, however on average I've worked out that it does 10 miles per pound. So I put in £20 a week and I can get a good 200 miles out of it.

On the road
Driving
Not bad, however the steering feels far too light at higher speeds! Its good for parking, however when you hit 45-50 it just feels far to light for that kind of speed.
Performance
The 1.2 55PS engine is pretty weak, if you really throttle it you can get it 0-60 in about 12-14 seconds however its not a nippy car.

Living with it
Reliability
Its stalled on me twice and it was driver fault. The car just shut off whilst driving, luckily I was going slow, and the engine has not started a few time. Taken back to VW and they claim they found no fault.

Car looks nice however I'm not a huge fan of the front head lights. The knew 05' version looks more like a Golf!
Comfort
The suspension is hard however despite of this it is comfy. When you hit a pot hole in the road it bangs about though!

Security
Immobiliser and central locking, however no remote locking... this is something else missing which a car of this price should have! Most over hatchbacks have this as standard.
Service
Couldn't find any faults even though I know there present. They tried to find the easiest way round fixing the car.

Stalled twice and has not started a few times.
Other
Rattles on the inside are very annoying. When the cold air is switched on its not actually very cold its kind of luke warm, so in hot weather all the windows have to be down to compensate. And... there's no electric windows so you have to wind them too!
