In their own words

Firstly, the power unit I have is the 2007 1.2L 55BHP variant. I would advise avoiding this version of the Polo as much as possible as it needs to be absolutely thrashed to get anywhere (Which results in poor fuel economy). If you're looking to purchase a polo, I would at least go for a more powerful 1.4L which would probably achieve better economy in the real world. In addition to a weak engine, my specification has a very basic trim level with no remote locking OR electric windows. Therefore, its advisable to look for a more advanced car so that it's easy to live with. As for problems, I have encountered minor issues such as suspension tracking issues and minor electrical problems, all of which have been repaired fairly cheaply. Overall, the car is great for anyone who is looking for low running costs and an affordable motoring experience. However, those who look for creature comforts and decent power/specification should look elsewhere.
