In their own words

Diesel gate affected Sharan, with faulty ERG valve (appears to be a VW design fault) has cost me quite a bit to fix. Due to the emissions issue, I got my car re-tuned (instead of going to VW to detune it) and since have been running a 190bhp 400nM Sharan over the last 2 years and wow what a car !!! IT was boring before but since the re-tune never looked back. Few expensive issues requiring fix which should really have been VW call to fix - well they never did. Short of that I now have an economic Sharan, with ample acceleration making overtaking so easy on the motorway, fun to drive, a great 7 seater for family. My version is very comfortable. The diesel consumption has improved since the re-tune (as i usually drive sensibly at 70/75 mph). VW's historically have always been easy to modify and I just like them for that (used to own BMW's in the past but dont find them as fun - dont take me wrong those are drivers cars but very predictable) ! My Sharan is a keeper now but be ready to fix or modify if you get the 'wrong one'. Also insurance goes up on modified cars !!! Sorry if this review is not helpful but at least is a fun story ..... Happy buying !
