Volkswagen Touareg (2003 - 2009) 2.5 TDI DPF SE 5d Tip Auto Owner Review

I have to admit that I am a serial car changer! From a Suzuki SJ 410 to the Range Rover my wife drives we have driven and owned most 4x4s. I’ve added 60k miles to my VW and after 4 years still love this chunky, practical and versatile beast. It has cost me less to keep on the road in 4 years than my XC90 cost in 6 months and that includes the new prop shaft. This is so well built and so practical. My wife laughs when I have to drop into neutral to select low ratio lock when she can just press a button. But when it snows we are out in the VW because her Range Rover is too precious for the snow. Get a chance then buy one it will make you smile. Second on the list for me is the XC 90, then the XC 60, then the Evoque, x-trail, Freelander (early version) Suzuki Vitara, Honda CRV skipping the others bottom was the Rav 4 - boring! My next car - I will look at the V6 version of the VW some friends have them and love them and they sound smoother. If you buy a Touareg you will be happy- but you will struggle every time you have to spell it!
