In their own words

I've been driving my Volvo S90 D4 inscription for over 6 months now and I love it. It's not the sort of car you would own if you drive aggressively, are inconsiderate to other road users or you like putting your foot down around corners. The S90 is a relaxed, luxurious, refined drive. It's not about pace and performance. It's about enjoying the experience and destressing. Even though the S90 is a big car, it makes driving easy. The technology on board is brilliant. Loaded with safety features, the car is pretty much looking out for you all the time. The D4 engine is great and has more than enough power for normal use. Put your foot down and the car unleashes an expected bout of power but there is some noticeable turbo lag if you put your foot down at the wrong time. The engine is also very gruff when cold, sounding dated and worn out, but it quickly quietens as it warms up. Overtaking on the motorway is brilliant as the torque is so good. It will quickly whisk you from 60 to 80 with no effort, even fully loaded. The S90 is at home on the motorway and feels so comfortable at high speed. It's very easy to break the speed limit without even noticing. The car is barely breathing 80mph. Volvo have hit the mark with the S90 because pretty much all the trim variants come with a lot of good features as standard. The Inscription version has, as standard, LED headlights, auto headlight dipping, auto rain sensors, cornering lights, adaptive cruise control, and my favourite function - pilot assist - which gives you semi autonomous driving. There are a few annoying niggles with the car too and some things need refining. The voice control system being one. The commands aren't that intuitive and it doesn't always get what your saying. Perhaps it's the way I talk. The adaptive cruise is also a bit clunky particularly in traffic where it can often break suddenly to slow the car down. I was also very disappointed that the entertainment system doesn't support Android Auto unless you pay for the extra USB ports. This should be a standard item in my opinion, along with a parking camera. The Volvo media system isn't great but the large touch screen and app style layout is great. All in all, I love my S90. It's the nicest car I've ever had and I would certainly recommend it to people who like a luxuriously relaxing drive. 5/5 from me.

How reliable do you find the car?

It's a new car so no issues yet but can't be sure about reliability yet hence the 4/5.
