Bought a v reg ex police firearms car for less than half the price of a non police car with same miles on it.
Costs
Tyres go quickly. Alternator packed in shortly after having the car, police spec meant more expensive but only to run all the lights! Otherwise reasonable considering performance etc..

Needs more grip in the wet, but predictable when let go.
Performance
Could always use more power, smooth delivery, good overtaking.

Seated seats are a god send in winter. Good all round view, don't feel like been on a big journey even if you have.
