Value
Buy one 3 or 4 years old and nothing compares for the money.
Costs
The GTV is more exclusive and offers a vastly superior driving experience than the Audi TT, yet is about £7k cheaper 2nd hand. So until it's cost me £7k I won't feel out of pocket, and that's not going to happen since I bought a 2 year warranty for £600.

You just don't stop smiling. Feels even quicker than it is and sounds like heaven.

If you look after it as your pride and joy (which it should be) you won't have many problems.

Feels very luxurious inside. Ride is stiff but it's supposed to be - if you want true comfort buy a repmobile.

Alarm doesn't have a tilt sensor, but never heard of one being stolen.

Never take it anywhere near a main dealer and you'll be fine.
