Tremendous car, superbly reliable. If you want a car that's powerful, economical and reliable, you could do worse. I only changed it because it is just a little underweight for towing the heavy caravan, and I have to load the awning, chairs and stuff into the car to weigh it down so that I don't get the 'tail wagging the dog' syndrome. I also need more space for luggage - the Audi's boot is reasonable, but not big - and I have to put a disabled scooter in at times, which are chunky things! But - you can't really go wrong - they can be expensive to buy, and that may put you off. Finally - AVOID the multitronic gearbox as stated earlier - they are flawed. Mine had 122,000 miles when I got it, and 137,000 when I sold it.
How reliable do you find the car?
Seventh Audi I've owned - all but one were trouble free. The exception was an A6 estate with 'Multitronic' gearbox. This gearbox is one to avoid!Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
3.0 TDI engine is tremendously powerful, and economical. I'm heavy footed, yet I get 45mpg on average. Acceleration (6.1 to 60mph) is FASTER than the 3.2 petrol version! Towed a 1500kg caravan with ease, returning 30 mpg.About their car
