Audi A6 S6 (2012 - 2018) S6 TFSI Quattro Saloon (11/14-) 4d S Tronic Owner Review

The S6 is an absolutely superb car - very comfortable, luxurious and well built. It's probably the best car I've ever owned, and I've had some fairly exotic stuff; but ultimately I've found it a bit frustrating as a drivers car. It has more power than you can ever imagine and the four wheel drive means it always feels well planted. However; the frustration is that within two seconds of flooring the throttle you're travelling at a ridiculous (illegal) speed and the next corner is approaching so rapidly that you're left scrabbling about trying to loose enough speed. Don't get me wrong; the brakes are excellent, but it's the fact that it builds speed so easily that you always seem to be going a lot faster than you should be. It's hard to criticise a car for being too good, but that's basically how I feel about the S6. I would have more fun in a lesser powered car where you can drive it at eight tenths on a public road. The Audi is too powerful to be able to do that. I'm actually looking at replacing it with a Hyundai i30n. I will miss the Audi a lot, but do think that 450BHP is too much for public roads.
