Bentley Arnage (1998 - 2009) 4d Auto Owner Review

Stately presence, unparalleled comfort & all the head turning appeal you could ever want for the price of a used Mondeo. It takes a few miles to get used to the size - a retrofit reversing camera/mirror is 400 quid well-spent. Find the right specialist for advice & maintenance. Not cheap but look after it and you won't break the bank either. I even averaged 22mpg on a 500 mile trip. I've been considering an Arnage for a while & wanted the BMW engine having had a faultless 540 for 200k miles. Pick the right one for you. They are all well built so its down to preference and for me that included the two-tone leather steering wheel and gear stick and beading on the seats. Read what you can but in the end you have to take the plunge and learn on the job. Common faults include electric windows. If the inside handles look partially opened it signifies a damaged grommet on the window risers behind the door cards. A couple of hindred inc labour to fix or 800 to replace the whole unit when it breaks. The rest on mine was usual age related stuff. Awesome car. No regrets.
