In their own words

I find the 330i to be a brilliant car to live with. It is smooth, powerful enough, and handles brilliantly. It is spacious, and easily capable of carrying everything we need as a family of 3. By modern BMW standards, I also find it good looking. It is great to drive, and has a small number of modes to allow you to adjust throttle response, steering and engine noise. TBH I mostly leave it in default 'comfort' but I do have an individual sport setting if I am on a country road blast. EcoPro mode is great for motorway cruising with the family. The electronics are brilliant, and the iDrive controller is easy to use and minimises distractions whilst on the move. Although I am only getting 37mpg, that largely reflects the short, inefficient, journeys I have been doing through the lockdowns. I have only done a couple of motorway journeys in 12 months and it was easy to get well over 40mpg in those conditions. In that respect it is no worse than the diesel SUV I had before. In comparison with that SUV, the ride is a little firm and has taken some getting used to. It is the trade off for the excellent handling, and it is just firm, not harsh.
