Same money could get me a 1 year newer Honda Accord/Civic or 2 year newer Nissan Primera.

The metric-sized Dunlop tyres were £260 for a pair. Having said that, these special tyres can be driven even if they get punctured. So the money is worth spending on safety!

    Driving

    5 out of 5 5.0

Excellent drive - even after doing 100k miles. Precise steering and nimble handling.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

BHP/size ratio is not the most sporty. However, I use it as a comfortable family car, so don't really need wheel-spins at traffic lights. Although, I might think it should be quite good at it too.

    Legendary BMW reliability.

Although Parkers suggests that it's a 'Flashy Geezer's Car', I still think that its a decent family saloon with nice seats, decent room and respectable boot space.

    Comfort

    5 out of 5 5.0

Excellent. So far, among the best!

  • Security and Service

So far haven't had to test it. However, in theory, the immobiliser etc are a good idea and would give a potential thief a really hard time.
