Never had a BMW before. This was offered by Coopers in Reading one of two from the 2012 Olympic fleet. It had 1500 miles recorded. Apart from no rear wiper and a measly boot space I cannot fault it. Only a couple of niggles 1 exhaust pipe insisted coming loose twice eventually fixed by JCT 600 Bradford - cause U bolt was thread bound. Other easily rectified as above (VDU display shutting down) lifetime MPG 44. We have seen 59 MPG on a run on a mix of all types of roads using M A B and C class routes which from a 2L twin turbo diesel cannot be sniffed at not to mention VED at £30 pa! Such an economical car we have not got the heart to change it and have not seen anything to tempt us either. Fill it up and there’s some 650 miles range full to near empty You never get tired of driving it and the adage of ‘The ultimate driving experience’ is so true.
How reliable do you find the car?
The only issue raising its head twice is the VDU display when it has gone blank. This is a known issue BMW do not have an answer to it. It is easily overcome by rebooting.About their car
