Feels like the dream machine it is.
Performance
Get a 6-cylinder - the exhaust note is a symphony. The 1.8/9 is way underpowered (drive one and you'll see).

Nothing to worry about (thanks to the BMW warranty, which has served me well).

Decent standard fit gear - just be a little sensible where you park.

Excellent sales and comprehensive BMW used car warranty (shame I needed to use it so often). Just remember, at the end of the day you're just another 'unit sold' to the BMW chairman.
