Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

These days, the car is kept in my garage all week and is only used once a week ( I usually walk to work) to do the shopping run and the other odd trip on sunny days. It is still gives me a thrill when I put my foot down on a motorway on-slip road and leaves most other cars standing. The torque from that engine is fantastic but use a bit of caution on damp roads. The car is regularly serviced by a local garage and they look after it well. The car uses a lot of running gear from the BMW 3 Series so is not too expensive to keep on the road. But unlike the 3 Series, this car is still a thrill to drive slowly and quickly and with power to spare. The car was well worth the 15K I bought it for back in 2003 and I would like to keep it for many years to come.

How reliable do you find the car?

I have owned this car for about 15 years and it has been incredibly reliable. I had to replace the camshaft sensor a couple of years ago and the electric hood is sometimes intermittent, but I switch it to manual operation so it’s not a problem (I must get round to getting it looked at). But apart from the usual service items, Brakes and suspension parts now and again it has never let me down.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

I had a 1.9 Auto model for 3 years before this model, so I knew what to expect. The bigger engine made all the difference. Love it.
