What does this car say about you?

I'm poor, I couldn't afford a clio 197 or twingo 133... please take pity on me and give me some money

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

It needs to go... It's a black hole which absorbs all your money and the resale is falling through the floor. My mechanic simply said 'It's typical French crap...'

Would you buy this car again and why?

Probably as I couldn't afford anything else, I would've bought it off of someone else though.

What are you likely to buy next?

Looking to buy either a Fiesta ST or a Clio 197.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Not really, I have now tried to sell it a year on and been quoted £3300 in p/x. I have been trying to sell it privately for 6 months at a very competitive price and have had no interest. Cheapest around at time of purchase

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

It was cheaper than any reasonable alternative

What was the dealer like?

Ridiculous; cliche liverpool car dealer... M58 autos are the worst garage around. "it's out of the box, doesn't need valeted it's so clean" - translates to minging, smelly and scratched.

What's it like to drive?

It's alright, if you have a good set of tyres on it you won't have any problems. Gearbox is completely rubbish and sounds like it is made of lego, reverse gear doesn't lock unless you slip the clutch. Quite noisy and bumpy, not a lot of comfort. If anyone sits in the back the driver cannot have long legs as the seat needs to be right forward...

What's it like to park?

alright; it's difficult to see the rear of the car in the wing mirrors as it is not very long, the rear window is big though do to seat position you can't see out of rear side windows very easily

Have you had any problems with the car?

Front suspension & struts broke, replacements were expensive as they are not VTS standards. Exhaust has fallen off due to shoddy weld at back box, back box cannot be replaced on it's own and requires whole new exhaust system. Engine now overheats when stationary for more than 5 minutes though this is very common fault if googled. Paintwork scratches easily. Various other faults relating to poor build quality and rarity of specialised parts

What's most practical about your car?

It's cheap to buy and run, tyres are very cheap and car gets 40+ mpg

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Traction control, it's a bit spartan inside. Features for excess speed warning do not work and are merely a poor accessory.
