  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

A bit funky, in a good way.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Awesome, they like it inside and out. Though they make jokes at its reliability.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Potentially. Apparently recent engine issues have been ironed out but I would get an extended warranty.

What are you likely to buy next?

Most likely a Type-R or a Scirocco, probably not something French.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I wanted a change from the mundane styling of mainstream cars, along with the performance of a warm hatch.

    What was the dealer like?

The dealer was excellent, gave an excellent part exchange price for my old C4 and rectified any issues immediately.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Excellent to drive on a B-road all the way through to the motorway. It averages 39 mpg but will cruise at 65 mph at around 58-62 mpg. The car has low-end torque which makes overtaking easy and a joy through the gears.

    What's it like to park?

Fairly easy, as with all modern cars large pillars can affect judgement but no kerbed alloys yet.

  • Living with it

    3 out of 5 3.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

A number of issues have arisen: - High Pressure Fuel Pump failure (simple fix) - Handbrake switch replacement - Corrosion of electrics in the engine bay. The most recent being the corrosion of electrics, this has caused a recent bill for a new starter motor, body control unit and wiring repair.

What's most practical about your car?

Low load space, easy to drive and park, plenty of low-end torque.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Custom leather seats, bluetooth and upgraded Hi-Fi system.
