Value
Too expensive when new. Very good second hand.
Costs
Never less than 40mpg. Even seen 50mpg, so excellent.

Driving
Great drive. Sharp steering and good handling, but grip a bit lacking on skinny tyres.
Performance
Splendid for a little 1.2 engine. Nippy and fun!

Reliability
65,000 miles and no major failures. Only minor electrical glitches - interior light and rear wiper probs.

Ubiquitous - neither dowdy or exciting.
Comfort
Front seats firm and comfortable with enough legroom and very good driving position, but little room in the back.

No alarm or central locking on 98 model, so I hope the locks are secure.
Service
Mostly serviced by indepentdent garage, but Ford dealer was OK.
