What does this car say about you?

Either I'm a pensioner who has probably owned the car since it rolled off the factory line or a kid with NCD.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Friends were surprised at the power. Family didn't like it, thought it was tatty.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Probably would although I would go for the facelift model this time. The car is altogether really fun for what it is and what it's worth. Shame it's really hard to find a good example due to the corrosive rear ends.

What are you likely to buy next?

If I was to buy a Ford next, probably a 80s/early 90s Sierra, Escort or even a classic Fiesta. But that's just due to personal preference.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £500

When did you buy the car?

    June 2014

Did you get a good deal and why?

To be honest I regret paying so much on what later turned out to be heap of junk. Probably should've shopped around more.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Desperately needed a car but due to insurance costs could not afford anything bigger.

    What was the dealer like?

    A liar.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

The 1.25 zetec engine really compliments the car. It's surprisingly nippy, will leave the rival 1.2 clios and corsas behind (even the new ones). The car handles pretty okay and is sharp and precise. As you'd expect it's not exactly the car for motorways but rather city.

    What's it like to park?

    Pretty easy.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

I ended up buying a really beat up example. Suppose at first it did take a good beating before things like cv joints started going. When it came to MOT the car failed on a lot like rear brakes not working, rust etc which meant it needed to go.

What's most practical about your car?

Small, agile, quick. Ideal learner car.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Can't think of one as there aren't really much gadgets/accessories...
