In their own words

A pleasant surprise. Traded down from a 57 plate turbo fabia, but I don't miss it at all. Skoda wanted 22k for a new one so I told them where to go. Found a 52 plate fiesta and am very impressed with it. Came with 20 service stamps and very low mileage.

Engine is the 1.3 old ohv engine, but I don't care about the zetec, I think it suits the car perfectly. Seems way faster than 59bhp, no troubles on motorways or hills, just make sure you drop a gear or have momentum.
Torque seems to dip in the middle of the rev range, but it's awesome fun because you can drive it on the limit at all times and it just obeys.

The best thing about it is the way it handles! Perfect for a b road commute. Steering is heavy by modern standards, but you know where the wheels are at all times. The ride is perfect, comfortable but no lean in the corners and the gearbox is probably the nicest I've used in ANY car, and I've bought new the last 20 years.

I forgot how connected and chuckable older cars were!

Favourite accessories are the sunroof, gearbox and the lights - even on dipped beam the illumination is something to behold.
