Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

This Car is my first car. Since I'd never ever buy a Vauxhall, I would not be like most of my friends or indeed most young drivers for who the Corsa is by far the most popular choice. (II've never met a happy Vauxhall owner - car suffer from a string of problems and re-ocuring faults) I had my eye on a VW Polo, because VW are the go to manufacture for well built, solid and reliable cars. However after seeing the Fiesta first and then comparing it to a similarly priced Polo, the VW appeared overpriced. The Polo 'E' I found had manual windows, plastic trim, no alloy wheels or air conditioning. Unbelievable, in my ignorance I assumed electric front windows and air-conditioning were standard cars in the 21st century. The Polo's interior was a disappointment, it didn't look or feel more upmarket or any more solid than the Fiesta. Ironically I'd say the Corsa offered the best quality interior. Unjustifiable asking price for the Polo 'S'. The Polo 'Match' or 'Sport' are better equipped. (54') Polo 'Sport' was around the same price as the Fiesta but was also 4 years older/4 year more wear. I have no regrets in my decision. It's been a great car with no major issues. I have found the MPG to be pretty poor considering the engine size - a recent service seems to have improved this slightly. I don't find this car terribly well suited for long journeys (not what it was built for). I need a more fuel efficient car so I will soon be replacing my little Fiesta, but I will be hard pressed to find a suitable replacement that includes all the gadgets I've become accustom to.

How reliable do you find the car?

Taking age into consideration this car has been pretty reliable. One day last year the car would not start, a replacement battery eradicated the problem although, only when it is cold (usually in the morning) there is still sounds of a struggle when I start the engine. This apparent struggle does not inconvenience me as the car does still start first time, so I haven't bothered to have this looked at. It may be worth mentioning I always leave the lights and wipers on auto, but I see nothing in the user manual advising against this/battery drain. The power-folding mirrors have never worked properly, the mechanism is far too fragile and after repeated fixes and recalibration I have given up. They work for a time after repair but eventually one of them will break - cogs click repeatedly as they try to fold the already folded mirror; other manufactures owned by Ford at the time shared a similar mechanism and suffer the same problem (Jaguar, Volvo, Land Rover etc.).

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

The auto-lights, quickclear screen, rain-sensing wipers, bluetooth and auxiliary socket included on this model are features I now use daily and wouldn't like to be without. My next car will have to be similarly or better spec'ed. The eight year old voice control technology surprisingly accurate, but I could live without this and may have to do without the heated windscreen as this seems to be a Ford exclusive. I've seen older ford owned Volvo models with quickclear screens but no other manufacturer seems to offer this.
