What does this car say about you?

Bluntly not very much but it’s a good looking car, front fogs and the small spoiler/fin gives it a slightly sportier and feistier look than other fiestas. The ST and Zetec S aside its probably the best looking/equipped fiesta.

    What's it like to drive?

Gear changes are pretty short (1st gear really doesn’t get you anywhere) on the plus side the gearbox is quite slick and not at all spongy. Gears 1-3 don’t give you a lot unless you really thrash it and overall getting up speed from a standing start can be a struggle. 4th gear is reasonable for overtaking and gives good acceleration. Surprisingly the car performs really well on the motorway – cruising at 60mph in 5th gear it responds very well to the accelerator getting you up to 70+mph very quickly and easily (albeit at 3500rpm). Country roads are handled well and there isn’t to much need to start hurriedly changing down when a hill approaches. At times you forget it’s just a 1.4l engine, at other times its all to obvious that you’re driving a car with only 78bhp

    What's it like to park?

    Simple.

Have you had any problems with the car?

I’ve had the car for 3 years and haven’t had any real problems. However a couple of irritations. The first of these is reverse gear which regularly takes a few attempts to engage and involves some vigorous pumping of the clutch. The second is that when it rains the water sometimes finds its way into the drivers side door cavity, it doesn’t happen every time and could just be a seal/ outlet blockage issue but I am aware that it happens on other fiestas too.

What's most practical about your car?

    Good mpg, reasonable performance.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Not much to choose from really. Air con is always useful,
