In their own words

I downsized from a 2011 plate diesel Qashqai. This was beginning to cost me in expensive repair bills. As i was no longer doing the same high mileages i decided to look for a small town car but one that could also prove entertaining. I carried out a lot of research into the Ecoboost fiestas, but did have some reservations due to some engine failures. However, these were engines used in the Ford Focus. After several months research i finally purchased a Fiesta Zetec S 140 bhp. Having noted problems with the same engines in the Ford Focus, the first four months of ownership saw very mild, consciencous driving. This was to build my own confidence in the vehicles ability and performance. Well it certainly did that. I own a belting little car which also provides huge grin factor on the occasional playday. For a 1 litre car, it can certainly hold its own in busy traffic. Cheap to drive, light and responsive. Its a modern day Mini Cooper S. Two minor problems have come up during ownership. Firstly the drivers door (3 door version) developed a graunching noise on opening and closing. I discovered one of the hinge bolts had worked loose, so a quick fix. The second was a failure in the drivers door window to fully lower. This was during recent cold weather. However, its rectified itself with the onset of milder weather. Would i recommend the 1 litre Ecoboost 140. Definitely. For modern day driving, its just so much fun.
