Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

This car is so good that we brought another one! but not the zetec engine, which was a mistake, as the zetec engine is by far the better of the two. The car is so lovely to drive that I’ve been reluctant to change it and have kept it many more years than I normally do. I’ve become the ‘do we really need to change it as it’s so reliable’ group. It owes us nothing and if it weren’t for the high tax that we have to pay as it’s petrol and automatic, I’d keep it. It still looks lovely and the paintwork always shins beautifully. The only item that we don’t like is the leaking boot, on both, as we’ve had to change the boot opening mechanism twice and have had to have sealer added to stop water ingress. The auto gearbox is faultless and really punchy when pressing foot to the floor. I’d never go back to manual now. The interior is getting dates now, so time to start looking for an update but we’d be very sad to let her go, but I do wish that they had higher seats and adjustability on passenger seats too.

How reliable do you find the car?

Generally no problems other than age related items that you’d expect eg. Tires, window wipers, battery etc but we do service the car as required. One niggle is the boot opener that we’ve had to change 4 times due to water getting into the unit and boot.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

The car has more acceleration than my partners car of the same engine size (1.4 auto titanium) but not the zetec engine.
