What does this car say about you?

This car shows I am someone who likes speed but also looks after their car. My car is also clean, polished and waxed to high quality and I t really shows when driving around.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They all love the car. Every time my friend gets in, he smiles and says how much of a BeaST it is (excuse the pun). My dad loves it as he has a similar car (Ford Mondeo ST220).

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would definately buy this car again because it will always make you smile. The torque is produces is unreal and you can not help but put your foot down.

What are you likely to buy next?

I would probably look down the root of a VW Golf GTD. Slightly less performance than the ST but fuel economy would be much better. I struggle to get over 22mpg with the ST during town driving and rarely reach 30mpg on motorways.

    £8,500

When did you buy the car?

    March 2014

Did you get a good deal and why?

I part exchanged my 2005 Focus for the ST at a very good price. Car is in very good condition and the dealer was very professional.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Upgraded from my 2.0L Titanium 2005 Focus to the ST.

Very professional, honest and easy to find out information.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

The car is very easy to drive. 3 settings on the steering wheel allowing you to change the assistance from comfy (light) to sport (heavy). With the amount of power the car has.. it takes any hill, corner or straight with ease. No need to change gears at all.

    What's it like to park?

The doors are quite high which does make it a little difficult to park. The steering with the adjustments does help but the wheel sizes being 18" makes the turning circle quite poor and 8/10 you have to reverse back to straighten up.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Only one thing has gone wrong with it so far which is the bonnet release lock. Common fault on all Focus's between 2005 - 2010 so its not just the ST.

What's most practical about your car?

Lots of space, comfy seats and easy to drive.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Favourite gadget would be the turbo gauge on the dasboard. Such a good feeling when putting foot down to then seeing the boost fly up.
