Value
Good value for money. This is my third Ford (Fiesta before this).
Costs
Indifferent: with the air con on, it drinks petrol; but otherwise it's great.

On the road
Driving
Easiest car I've ever driven. Loves cornering, and is as good on motorway as in town. Easy to park - only niggle is no side strips to stop door knocks in car parks.
Performance
Average. Really needs the 1.4 Zetec 16v unit, then it would fly.

Living with it
Reliability
First time starter; has never let me down. Only slight problem with back brakes and hand brake. Dealer sorted it twice and no problems since.

Cool, like it or hate it. Reminds me of a Beetle without the expense of one. Eccentric looks. I love it!
Comfort
I'm 5' 11" and can drive for about 2 hours then I have to get out and take a walk. Otherwise no problems. Plenty of legroom in front, but sadly passengers are a little cramped in the rear. No fifth seat or lap belt.

Harsh on cold start, rattling tappets at speed. Noisy from 60 mph upwards to shouting level.

Passenger door refuses to open at times in the cold weather!
