Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

This is my second Mondeo - after a 19 year interim period of Honda ownership, the last one being a 2007 Accord diesel. While I will keep this review focused on the Mondeo, I will draw on a couple of comparisons with the Honda, as they are a similar type of car… I will start with the positives, of which there are many. It’s brilliant to drive, handles very precisely and has a fluidity to the controls that few other cars can match, even those in a higher price bracket. It’s very quiet, comfortable, spacious, practical, well equipped, quite stylish and has a nicely finished interior. The visibility is fine and parking is easy with front and rear sensors as well as a reverse camera. Took it to Scotland in June (a 300+ mile run) and it was fantastic in every way - these cars are brilliant for long journeys. It has been 100% reliable, has only needed routine maintenance since I bought it in March this year and has not even used a drop of oil. So, turning to the negatives then. Mine is the 163ps version (with a manual gearbox), but it doesn’t really feel like it has this output level. It’s absolutely not slow, but it just doesn’t pull you up the road like my last Accord did when you put your foot down. Interestingly, both engines produce the same amount of torque (250lb/ft). I will put this down to the Ford’s gearing and slightly higher kerb weight. The Mondeo’s engine (I know it’s a PSA unit) is also nowhere near as refined as to what I’m used to and it’s not as economical either, but not by a huge margin. The ride is quite firm and you do notice even the smaller bumps on the road more than you might expect. Overall, this is an exceptionally good car that is great to drive, is easy to live with and is very usable. I would definitely recommend one to anyone who is considering a car of this type.
