Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

I had owned the 2.2 cdti ex diesel version and had nothing but trouble( left a review previously) whilst it was so much more powerful, everything else let it down. It was black lovely when clean but shows dirt too easily. I had a exspensive sounding metal clanging and a continuous expensive issue with injectors. Mechanic told me you are just unlucky to be honest don't let that turn your head from Honda's they are the best he said get a petrol version they are great engines and cheaper to work on. So I did.... he wasn't wrong love my newer civic. Changed its nose to the newest model. It's silver and the colour is great hides dirt and car is cooler than previous black one. The front mud guards kept catching on speed bumps I took them off and it looks so much better. The panoramic roof is great my baby loves it. But it is annoying in winter due to condensation and that freezing so it can rain in car. But apart from that everything is so much better than previous models the dash has lost its sheen the parking sensors are a great addition and the added mp3 sockets are so welcomed. On my previous civic I had to remove all the centre console just to put a aux in back of radio that knocked out the clock and other functions. Mine doesn't come with sat nav but my last car had it and it was rubbish. I did have a common fault where car alarm goes off when it's cold as the bonnet latch sensor is exposed to all elements and it's pointless. But replaced it myself £45* or £100 at Honda. there's cheap hack where you just the two ends of a paper clip in the terminals. But I was taking front bumper off anyway. The engine is less powerful than old 1.8 vtec but it is good enough, it is better than same age ford focus but doesn't handle as well and doesn't have front heated defrost (ford patent). The boot and clever seats are better than most other hatchbacks. Rear visibility is poor but the sensor makes up for that. Key in ignition beep is so annoying it is like a travel alarm clock. The car is fantastic I love it. It looks amazing still 14 years since it was launched from space. Even the dash is cool and ergonomic.

How reliable do you find the car?

Petrol is more reliable, mud guards are too low on front take them off ;). Bonnet catch sensor can become faulty you have to replace whole thing or jam a paper clip in ends.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

You can put full adult bike upright without taking wheel off or folding seats down in back. You just lift rear seats up huge clever space.
