  • Summary

    2 out of 5 2.0

What does this car say about you?

Style is more important than function. Or- this driver did not test drive the car before committing to purchase it.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They think that it looks absolutely great from the outside. Impressions quickly decline when they struggle to get into the back without suffering a glancing head wound. They are not too taken by the interior design of the instrument panel either- did someone originally forget to include the speedo display?

Would you buy this car again and why?

No- the ride is simply too awful

What are you likely to buy next?

Honda Accord (unless it is revamped by the Civic design team)

  • Driving it

    1 out of 5 1.0

    What's it like to drive?

Far from ideal. The current design seems to have moved target group from middle age to new licence holder. The drive is very hard- akin to a Astra GTE or Golf GTI circa 1990. The slightest dimple in the road is felt and on a bad road even I feel car sick when driving it. There are blind spots all round- driving on a motorway is alarming. The rear screen has an usual integrated spoiler a third of the way up. It seems to do very little except block the rear view.

    What's it like to park?

OK if you have a passenger standing outside of the car to guide you in.

  • Living with it

    2 out of 5 2.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

    Faultless

What's most practical about your car?

With hindsight this is not a practical car. Although the rear doors open to a full 90 degrees, this does not compensate for the badly designed door aperture. If you are over 5' tall or if you are attempting to get a baby into a baby seat in the back then there is a good chance of knocking your (or baby's) head.
