Other Honda Civic (2006 - 2011) models:

  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

Im tight haha. 75mpg!! 1500rpm at 65mph, most cars tic over at that!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They all love it. The radical design that honda chose with the styling on this model is excellent and a real head turner.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes I would but only to save money. I'm used to honda's with Vtec and redlining at 8500rpm, the diesel stops at 5000.

What are you likely to buy next?

Either the same or the Type R as prices are very good on them at the moment due to the high price of petrol.

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchise

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £9,995

When did you buy the car?

    July 2009

Did you get a good deal and why?

They knocked me £200 off the screen price without me asking them too. The car should have been cheaper but it came with reverse sensors, front fogs and 18" alloys (£1600 apparently) it also had a tow bar but I had them remove it for me.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Wanted the power but with the economy of a diesel.

    What was the dealer like?

Very accomodating. I gave the go ahead on the saturday and by wednesday it had been cleaned, mot'd, serviced and half a tank of diesel!

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

I'm not used to having a car with electric power steering and this is taking a bit of getting used too. It is very light and feedback is too minimal for my liking. The wheel always wants to centre itself so keep your hands on it or I find it will spin back quickly .

    What's it like to park?

Parking is easy in mine as it also came with reverse sensors but if they where not installed then I recon it wouldnt be the easiest to park. Door mirrors are huge though and do help with reversing.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Within the first week of owning it the drivers side rear wheel brake stuck on and made the alloy too hot to touch! Went to the dealer the next morning and they sorted it for me immediately with no questions asked.

What's most practical about your car?

The boot space....its huge! There is a compartment under the boot cover and if you pull the boot cover towards you, it drops down into the recess making the boot even bigger!! Thumbs up for that idea.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Climate control, fog lights....the best bit is the turbo though, takes off like a rocket.
