In their own words

Crazy amount of headroom and 4 big windows make this little bubble car a total Tardis to journey in. All the extras as standard-decent looking alloy spokes with locking wheel but, 4 electronic windows that open completely, air con and effective heater, quad speakers, am/fm radio with cd, auxiliary and iPod inputs, dash dim, front and rear fogs, electric adjustable door mirrors, front and rear 12v lighter ports. And a cigarette lighter unit! City driving with a fuel conscious, environmentally friendly style brings 50mpg, but surprisingly decent mpg even when driven badly, this is a city car that sits at 85mph comfortably all day with three figure speed available if you are determined to throw your licence away. Chassis and axle geometry with 14 inch wheels work an unexpected magic allowing a kerb to kerb turning circle in less space than the width of 3 bmw 320’s, the premium brand of tyres in this size are affordable on any budget and the greater the quality of the tyre, the better the performance of the Anti Braking System at speed. If any of the Korean OE tyres are still on the car, bin them immediately, they deteriorate with age greater than with mileage and warp when pushed. Space saver spare is always a disappointment but does live in an invisible boot well which, of course, saves space. I put 40,000 miles on my one in 20 months, which was a dealer serviced one owner from new with 25k on the clock. Expected to have run it into the ground by now but it still over performs and sails through MOT’s with just bulbs required. The lovely lady who sold it immediately bought a new i20....I’ll let you know how it copes with the abuse it will take when I get my hands on it...

How reliable do you find the car?

Has coped well with a hard life, twice daily 10 mile commute that takes over an hour, sitting on the clutch in traffic then flooring it into gaps plus 325 miles M11/A11 every week at non legal speeds, so a clutch and pads+discs at 50k was not unreasonable. Hitting a kerb at 40mph destroyed a shock but the little car still drove straight
