What does this car say about you?
That I look for value for money cheap motoring above anything else.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They all think it is a lovely stylish car with lots of space. All ruined by poor bumpy ride quality.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. I would only buy an updated model of this car if they addressed issues such as the poor ride quality, fuel economy and ISG reliability as stated previously. Reading the online motoring news about the 2016 face lifted IX20 models I see none of these issues being addressed. Most of the changes I see about this model are minor cosmetic changes and EU6 emissions testing compliance. So, no I won't be buying this car again.
What are you likely to buy next?
Toyota, Lexus, Honda. Maybe VW too.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Paid £9000 for it with 7000 miles on the clock and one previous owner and in good condition. Car was needed urgently as my previous 13 year old car was dying and would be uneconomical to repair for its MOT.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Value for money, claimed fuel economy, high seating, space and practicality.
What was the dealer like?
Courteous, desperate for a sale.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Positives: Good high driving position, light steering, comfortable seats, pleasant cabin. Negatives: Under powered and slow engine. Poor fuel economy - only achieving real mpg average of 37 mpg, stated fuel efficiency of 50.4mpg. Poor ride quality - bumps and crashes on the slightest bump, even worse on larger potholes. Car also has a habit of bump steering.
What's it like to park?
Not bad, but can be difficult if you don't have parking sensors. Luckily, my spec of car includes parking sensors.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
ISG start / stops ystem works intermittently. Only tends to work after having a long journey. Apart from that, nothing else.
What's most practical about your car?
The space, high seating, parking sensors.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Maybe USB / MP3 player? Most of the equipment found on IX20 is pretty much standard on most other car makes / models these days.
