What does this car say about you?

I think it says alot about me. I love those rare or hard to find cars an this car definately reflects that. Its a great conversation starter (no one really knows a turbo model was made).

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My family like it and are happy to drive it. They say it looks "classy". I'm always washing it and the neighbours always mention how clean it was in the first place. Had a few people just walking round it trying to figure out what it is. (Dont be offended if you hear "Rover" mentioned)

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yep! It's a great car and fun to drive plus being a 1.5ltr means the tax is cheap. And being a turbo means it flies. Aside form the few small problems this car should be a modern classic and has set the benchmark for what Hyundai Motors can achieve.

What are you likely to buy next?

I would love a Mazda RX-7. YES, another rare car.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £1,100

When did you buy the car?

    February 2006

Did you get a good deal and why?

I got a fair deal, Value for money you can buy cheaper but this one had 39'000 miles on the clock and had 2 elderly owners. The seller was "a friend of the family" but was geuine and pointed out any thing fishy on the car.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I always wanted to buy a fun but rare turbo powered car. After seeig a friend with one I fell in love with it and travelled up to London to buy my new toy.

    What was the dealer like?

Very honest and friendly and made sure he knew enough to tell me all about it. He even put it on the drive so it was ready for a spin.

    What's it like to drive?

Brilliant!!! It's a great toy and is up for long journeys or short without giving you a back ache. Road noise is a little high but quiet enough for conversation. Handles really well and you can feel the road. Lotus designed suspension as standard is also an added bonus.

    What's it like to park?

Quite easy, the rear window covers the whole back of the car so the view is pretty good. Sharp steering too, plus power steering, which is nice.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Only a few bits and only 1 was major: The cluth slave and master cyclinders went in just 24 hours of each other. £300 to fix from any garage. Watc hout for that 60'000 mile mark. Get it serviced regularly and check n' change the oil often (10w40 semi synthetic is best).

What's most practical about your car?

The boot: For a samll coupe the boot is very spacious but this reduces the space for the rear pasengers. Plus every thing can be done inside the car, petrol cap, boot, wing mirros. For a car of it's age it really sets a standard.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

I've added a few peices but only things that are minor. My favourite has to be the new alloy wheels, at 15inches they fill the arches alot better and give the car a more modern image, without sacrificig acceleration.
