This is a cheap SUV. it is ideal if you want a robust lugger, with good off road capabilities that is spartan inside but comfortable despite the slightly choppy ride. Add in the huge interior, the ability to tow trailers with authority, the lowish cabin noise and low price and the Terracan is well worth having. I have to admit I cannot find a replacement so it will do another year or two.
How reliable do you find the car?
Bought at 49000 miles needed 4 new injectors. Head gasket went at 108000 miles injector seal also broke. Aircon started to leak replaced pump. It is leaking again at 150000 miles.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
We do a journey to Norway every year. It is now 1700 miles each way. We fill the car with 6 or more peoples luggage a chest freezer and a whole lot more and then 2 of us drive there. With seats down and back full to the roof it drives 4-500 miles a day or more very happily out and back. Off road it is good but ground clearance is a bit less than some but it has not been an issue. Tows well as well. It does use a lot headlight bulbs though! It is not quick and it is very much not a car in terms of handling. Get used to it and you will start to love it though you might wonder why from time to time.About their car
