In their own words

As I said above, this is my 3rd XF, the facelifted model in white with black wheels and detailing. My first was the XFS 275 bhp Portfolio which had tyre pressure monitoring (what a PITA!), next a 240 Luxury which I found a little dead, so this one I got remapped to 300bhp which transforms the car (and only increased my insurance premium slightly). The original owner had specified reversing camera in addition to front and rear parking sensors, electric sunroof (quite rare) and privacy glass, all of which I rate highly. The stop start system has a mind of its own, which can be a bit annoying at times. Fuel consumption ranges from 35 around town to 46 on mainly motorway driving, which I think is not too shabby for a big 3 litre diesel car. It steers and rides beautifully on decent road surfaces and isn't too bad even on poor tarmac, although the low profile 40 series 19" tyres don't help. Styling is obviously a personal thing, but I think this model is still a classy looking car despite its age, and I have no plans to change it in the foreseeable future.

How reliable do you find the car?
