Can't knock it here. Real bang for the buck without really sacrificing anything in day tp day driving.

    Costs

    3 out of 5 3.0

Returning just over 30mpg and appears to be reasonable to service.

  • On the road

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Big and a bit wallowy. Respect this on the back roads and it is quite enjoyable. It has taught me to relax and enjoy the scenery (ex Skyline owner). The more I drive it the more I like it.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Performance from the 2.9 crdi engine feels better than the publihed figures suggest. Certainly fast enough in all respects for todays road conditions.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    3 out of 5 3.0

Not had vehicle long enough to comment here but, so far so good.

Funnily enough, the younger members of our extended family think it's cool. The older ones think it's impressive. Only scorned by those who consider themselves to be car pundits, yet couldn't afford to buy one themselves.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Very comfortable as long as the driver respects the size and class of vehicle. Can get uncomfortable for passengers if driven hard.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

As good as I need it. Who would want to nick it anyway?

    Service

    2 out of 5 2.0

This is the rub. Budget prices seem to lead to budget staff and service. Still, hopefully I will only have to deal with them at service time. Sorry Kia, much room for improvement in dealer attitude and customer care after they have parted with their cash
