In their own words

Absolutely brilliant and well worth the premium cost of buying the vehicle. Great and comfy driving position with loads of adjustment to seats and steering wheel. Quality of interior is good with loads of tech which is in easy reach of the driver. Only down side is the poison of the electronic hand break, would have been better positioning in centre console. Plenty of room for front and rear seat passengers and the boot space is ample as I’m able to fit a full set of golf clubs and trolley in the boot. An absolute peach to drive on motorways and dual carriageways as there’s very little external noise from tyres and wind. A great cruiser. Driving on minor roads is exceeding good too as the power steering is well calibrated to cope with twisty roads and tight car parks. The cost of insurance is slightly higher than the norm and the cost of servicing is expensive at a dealership but at least the service frequency has been increased to 2 years or 21k miles. Apart from the initial diesel rattle the engine is quiet and responsive. The manual gearbox ratios are even and responsive when asked to go. Again one slight criticism is the gear shift is not as slick as other cars I’ve driven, but in time you get used to the gears. I’ve had the car for almost a year now and due to a series of national lockdowns I haven’t been able to use the Evoque as I would during normal times so the annual mileage is about half of that expected, but what a great car.

How reliable do you find the car?

Minor issues with infotainment system, radio failed to turn on and blank screen. Happened a couple of times. Problem corrected itself when powered off and then turned ignition on again

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

The only disappointing issue is the mpg, however due to series of lockdowns unable to travel long distances so most journeys have been short/ medium range.
